Electronic Technician

McCain Foods, the world's largest privately owned provider of fresh frozen food products, has an immediate opening for an Electronic Technician at the Burley, Idaho plant. The work schedule is 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
The primary responsibility of the Electronic Technician is to complete or assist with the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. An Electronic Technician also tests, troubleshoots, and replaces malfunctioning transformers, electrical motors, light fixtures, circuits, and faulty electrical/electronic components with use of schematics. This position will also carry out a variety of maintenance duties and mechanical repairs to operate, repair, adjust, install, rebuild, and fabricate various types of machinery and systems for the factory. The job responsibilities will include plumbing, welding, and electrical repairs, using technical tools, instruments, and materials.
The successful candidate will have:
Completed one year toward an Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to program Allen-Bradley PLC5 and SLC500.
Experience with Intellution Fix 32.
Working knowledge of testing equipment, including oscilloscope, digital, test meters, insulation test meggers, decade box, power supply, frequency counters, and 4 to 20 ma source meters.
Demonstrated strong computer background, including PC hardware, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows.
Ability to read and understand schematics, utilize PC and PLC for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Experience with AC/DC voltages ranging from 5 to 100 volts.
Experience with electrical wiring in accordance with the National Electric Code.
Knowledge and experience with Instrumentation, motor and process controls (Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems).
Experience repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
