Job Descriptions:
AmeriCold Logistics, the largest provider of temperature controlled distribution services in the US, is seeking a Dock Clerk to join the team at our Burley, ID facility.
Primary Responsibility: Ensure that all shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time. Communicates with customers to coordinate outbound and inbound freight schedules.
Essential Functions:
1. Promote a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify any safety concerns, as well as cost saving opportunities.
2. Verify all orders and record shipping and receiving information.
3. Complete shipping and receiving orders including necessary labels and stickers.
4. Update computer inventory reports.
5. Authorize product for shipment and receipt.
6. Inform supervisor of any issues with drivers. Maintain security procedures at dock.
7. Notify Customer Service Specialist of any customer issues. Assist in their resolution. Assist in tracking any missing shipments.
8. Assist in loading and unloading trucks as necessary.
9. Other duties as requested.
Required
Experience:
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one year office experience or equivalent training and experience
Warehouse or transportation experience a plus
Ability to work in high paced, deadline-oriented environment
Experience with AS/400 and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Familiar with WMS and RF
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide Physical Requirements: While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate is frequently required to sit; hear or talk: use close vision; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects: and type and manipulate controls. Associate is occasionally required to use distance vision, stand, kneel or crouch and lift up to 10 lbs. To apply: only qualified and local candidates with related experience will be considered.
