Executes work under direction or established procedures 50% of the time, works independently setting priorities and work schedule 50% of the time.
Does not supervise others
Primary Purpose:
Monitor, control, audit and reconcile the flow of product through the warehouse, posting in and out via the warehouse management system and the AS400. Identify and solve problems associated with receiving and shipping product
Essential Duties:
Schedule, monitor, and control inbound and outbound product to comply with warehouse and delivery schedules
Ensure the accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents
Assure the receiving counts correspond with bills of lading from vendor
Assure the shipping counts correspond with computer information
Schedule Carrier appointments
Assist in resolving any discrepancies with paperwork that does not match computer information
Assure all paperwork flow is done accurately
Answer the phone when receptionist not on duty
Use copier as needed
Safety Responsibility:
Assumes responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co-workers, and for the safety conditions of the work location.
Working Conditions:
Fast pace, high stress area
Working 3- 12 hour shifts and 1- 6 hour shift
Weekend work
Overtime required when needed
Schedule changes when necessary
Sitting at desk for up to 10 hours with occasional walking and standing
Extended periods of time working on computer
Work air/heat control environment
Qualifications: Requirements:
High School Diploma
PC experience especially with Microsoft Excel preferred
Ability to organize time and workload effectively
Ability to understand and follow direction
Set priorities, anticipate problems and work independently as well as with others
Dependability
